Old Roommates!

About a month ago, we had a great get-together on a Sunday afternoon. These were my roommates of freshman and sophomore year... some of them. We got together in Holliday, UT for a short reunion. Donna, Alison, Stacy, me. I love these women. I love also how people stay the same. What a comfort. Donna and Alison live in Holliday, and Stacy is in Sacramento.

Reflections of Christ

This is a picture of John the Baptist shortly after he baptized Jesus Christ. Click on it to see it at its larger size...because the small size just doesn't give it justice!

Here is a link to a beautiful slideshow including pictures of Jesus Christ, his disciples, and more. It was made by Mark Mabry who makes wedding videos, but posted this on his website for Easter. It is accompanied by an arrangement of "Come Thou Fount."

Scroll down a bit to see the "Reflections Slideshow."

If you want to see how they made this, go to http://reflectionsofchrist.org
Under the tab, "VIDEO," you can easily create a log-in. Then you can view how they made this slideshow. It is interesting...for example, to get a picture of the angels in flight, they used real people and took pictures while they were jumping on a trampoline! All of the photos are of real people, not drawings. It is WORTH looking at!

Friends

These are my roomates Jenni, Shelley, and Katie. Katie is getting married soon and we gave her a cookbook. It is called The America's Test Kitchen Family Cookbook. It teaches you a lot about cooking, and has lots of pictures. Love it. My roommates have been wonderful and so good to me. I will miss them!

Janae (Nate's fiance, Nate, John, Crystal, Alan, Lisa, and baby Macey, Jenni, me, and Scott. Yesterday we had these old friends from a past ward over at our apartment. Things have changed quite a bit! We had dessert, reminisced, and enjoyed catching up. Most of us are graduating and moving on at this time, so it probably was one of the last times we'll get together in such a big group.

A couple of weeks ago our stake put on a Hinckley 5K Run/Walk to raise money for the Perpetual Education Fund. This is after the race. Scott was so kind and stayed at my pace the entire race!

A Trip to Southern Utah: The Canyonlands, The Arches, and Moab

This view is found within Arches National Park. The tall slabs of rock are fascinating.
Here is one of the arches inside of the Canyonlands. I was really scared and didn't want anyone to touch me! Behind us was a drop-off of probably 300 feet. Just don't look behind you!
We met two couples from Vancouver who gave us the idea of getting pictures of our shadows. I'm on the left, Ashley on the right. Meanwhile, Jenni is the one who is doing all the work!
At the end of the day, we tried to make dinner. We had beans and rice in our pot, but unfortunately our mini-stove broke and we had a half-cooked dinner. It was pretty chilly at this time, but this will definitely be a good memory.
In Canyonlands National Park, we biked to and from different trails in the park. Although this picture does not give the park its proper credit, we saw amazing views and rock formations.
Jenni and I found a little cove. We're loving vacation!
Ashley, Jenni, and I took a trip to Southern Utah. Behind us is one of the views in the Canyonlands National Park. It was amazing!
